Safe to Eat project: PRRAL rejigs methodology for reporting pesticide residue levels in vegetable, fruit samples

With PRRAL adopting FSSAI’s crop-wise MRL methodology, the immediate visible change is in the percentage of samples with pesticide residues above the permissible levels. Pesticide residues were found in just 1.53% of the samples tested in 67th report, a sharp drop from 21.29% in 66th report and 15.26% in 65th report.
