Manohar Parrikar’s 2017 letter advised against making any change in the organisational structure of BrahMos Thiruvananthapuram unit

With reference to a reported move to delink BATL from BAPL, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recently wrote to Shashi Tharoor, MP, that the ‘transfer’ is in line with the March 2007 order of Kerala govt. handing over KELTEC to DRDO. However, the order was amended in October that year handing over KELTEC to BAPL, the parent company of BATL, a point not mentioned in Singh’s letter. Parikkar’s 2017 letter takes note of this fact
